Why Our Training Sticks

Quick fixes don’t create lasting change. We focus on building skills and confidence for both ends of the leash—so progress continues long after the session ends.

  • You learn as much as your dog does.

  • Training happens where behaviors actually occur.

  • No one-size-fits-all plans here.

  • Busy schedule? Multi-dog household? We adapt to your reality, not the other way around.

Real Progress, Real Results

The best way to understand what we do is to hear from the people we’ve helped. These are real clients, real dogs, and real transformations.

“Grace was courteous, instructive and patient. She helped us understand that the 'Dog Training' sessions are primarily for the benefit of the owner in order to get appropriate responses from the dog. Our pet's behavioral reactions definitely improved.”

“We are so grateful we found Grace! We reached out to Pups Progress for help with our two Australian Shepherds. Our older Aussie is reactive and very wary of strangers, and our puppy had become fearful of other dogs. Thanks to Grace’s deep knowledge, patience, and thoughtful approach, we’ve seen incredible progress in both of them.

We still work on their training every day, but everything feels so much more manageable now because of the foundation Grace helped us build. We were genuinely sad when our sessions ended — we (and the dogs!) absolutely loved having her around.”

Sarah B. San Francisco

"Grace is an incredible trainer. She is patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. After each session, she addressed all my questions and made sure I felt confident practicing on my own. She helped me understand my puppy better and strengthen our bond.

FAQs

  • Sessions may happen as often or as spaced out as you need! While most clients meet with Grace anywhere from twice a week to twice a month, fitting training into your lifestyle is the best way to attain true progress towards your goals, so Grace is flexible when scheduling.

  • Sessions should be scheduled in areas where both you and your pup feel most comfortable which is most likely your home.

Once both you and your dog have a good understanding of foundational skills, sessions may be held at parks, pet friendly stores, or even your workplace.

  • Owner confidence can be the most important part of gaining progress when training dogs. To ensure your confidence, Grace will send follow up messages containing a recap of your session as well as relevant goals through text or email.

  • You and Grace will meet in a moderately public area such as a busy park or pet friendly store to hold the test. Evaluations typically last between 10 to 15 minutes. Grace will schedule a phone consultation to discuss testing location as well as expectations for passing the test.

New pup and parent duos are strongly encouraged to schedule a 1 hour private session to prepare for this test.
